If you don’t know what the keto diet is, here is a little introduction. The keto diet has been used by thousands of people to lose weight, improve overall health, and increase energy. It involves reducing carbohydrates and taking in more healthy fats. It can eventually put your body in a metabolic state called ketosis, which is a process that occurs when your body does not have enough carbohydrates to burn energy. Your body then burns fat and creates ketones that are then used for energy.

We have a great selection of keto ingredients to use in your keto recipes. From cinnamon, mint and tarragon to basil, coriander, and ginger – we have it all! These spices are low in carbs and can add a lot of flavour to your dishes. Herbs such as cumin, paprika, cayenne and oregano have a tiny bit more carbohydrates than other spices, yet are still keto-friendly when used in smaller amounts.

Whether you throw it into your dishes or add it to your tea, mint is fantastic for improving all sorts of conditions. It can relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and may help with indigestion, brain function and the common cold. A tip: It is best to add mint to dishes raw or at the end of the cooking process for ultimate flavour.

Whether you grow it in your backyard or buy it in a bottle from the grocery store, this fantastic herb is the perfect addition to your keto meals. Basil is a classic, rich herb that can be used in all sorts of dishes, jellies, oils, smoothies, cocktails, teas and desserts like sorbets and fruit salads. It is also an excellent source of vitamin K, iron, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids.

These keto-friendly spices are a perfect addition to keto meals and desserts and always a healthier substitute for flavour over harmful table salt and white sugar.
