Chestnut Stuffing

40 minsChestnuts give this stuffing a unique flavour that's perfect for roast chicken or turkey or baked in muffin tins for vegetarians. Also delicious made with gluten-free bread.

Ingredients
- 1 large Gala or Fuji apple , peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp savory
- 1 loaf of bread , cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup onion , finely chopped
- 120 g whole chestnuts , halved
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable stock
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. If using a muffin tin, lightly grease it.
- Combine all ingredients and season to taste.
- Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
